Buckshot Vineyard Heathcote JP Reserve Shiraz 2018

We are excited to share this wine, our first reserve release with you – JP Shiraz 2018.
This special bottling is a tribute to our father John Peebles. Dad’s passion for Australian wine and his work ethic were the inspiration and foundation for establishing Buckshot.

Our first Shiraz was from vintage 1999. Two decades later and Buckshot has established itself as one of Heathcote’s great Shiraz, including the trophy for Victoria’s best wine at the Victorian Wine Show in 2015. Over the years our unique style has evolved into a wine which highlights Heathcote’s trademark characteristics of intense varietal fruit and ferrous minerality, along with balance, finesse and silky-smooth tannins.

We celebrate our 20th vintage release from the superb 2018 vintage. This vintage was low yielding, warm and incredibly dry with barely an inch of rain over the January / February period. The resulting harvest of small bunches produced intense flavours yet beautiful balance.
This wine has been released with 3 ½ years bottle age.
